Senior Director of Operations

Location: Columbia, MD

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate senior leader to oversee our Autism Home Health program. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring program effectiveness, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a home-based setting. This position directs all home-based operations through the direct supervision of directors and managers fulfilling the administrative and clinical responsibilities. The role requires a strong understanding and focus on P&L management, the ability to oversee leadership positions, the collaboration with clinical leadership and a close working relationship with the executive team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ASD, extensive experience in healthcare leadership, financial management, data analysis, collaborative work with senior leaders, and a commitment to program quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership, Financial Management, and Data Analysis:

    • Execute strategic plans to enhance the effectiveness, financial performance, and growth of the Autism Home Health Program.

    • Manage the program's budget, monitor financial performance, and optimize resource allocation to achieve operational excellence, financial targets, and growth objectives.

    • Utilize data analysis tools and systems to assess program outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to drive strategic growth initiatives.

  2. Director-Level Oversight:

    • Provide leadership and direction to director-level and manager-level positions within the company, including Regional Directors and Operations Managers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

    • Collaborate with Clinical Directors to develop and execute departmental strategies, initiatives, and performance metrics that support program success and enhance overall outcomes for individuals with ASD.

  3. Collaboration with Senior Leadership Team:

    • Work closely with the senior leadership team to align program goals with organizational objectives, strategies, and initiatives.

    • Participate in leadership meetings, contribute insights and recommendations, and collaborate on cross-functional projects to drive organizational success and excellence in autism care.

  4. Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes, including regular assessments, audits, and compliance with industry guidelines.

    • Implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and quality for individuals with ASD receiving home health services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, special education, or related field

Experience

Required

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, with specific expertise in home health programs, financial management (including managing P&L), data analysis, collaborative work with senior leaders, and a focus on program quality.
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with a track record of driving positive outcomes, financial performance, and building effective teams.

Preferred

  • Experience working in programs serving a pediatric population.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of autism spectrum disorder, evidence-based interventions, and best practices in care coordination.
